From your first login to a calendar that fills itself — here's the whole journey, and exactly what running your day in the groomer dashboard looks like.
Create your account and tell us about your business
Sign up free — 14 days, every feature, no credit card. A short onboarding wizard asks for your business name, services and prices, and working hours, then builds your booking page from the answers. If you tell us you book with pen and paper today, GroomBoard starts you in Simple Mode: a clean digital appointment book instead of the full dashboard.
Switching from MoeGo, Gingr, DaySmart, Groomsoft, or PetExec? Export your data and drop it in — the importer auto-detects the format and brings clients, pets, and appointments across. Coming from a paper book? Photograph your day pages or client cards and the AI reads each entry into an editable table you can fix and import in one tap. You can also pull upcoming appointments straight from Google Calendar.
You get one simple link to put in your Instagram bio, text replies, and Google reviews. Clients see your services, prices, and real availability, pick a slot, and book on their own — even while you’re mid-groom. If you ask for a deposit, they pay it right there before the slot is locked in.
From here on, GroomBoard does the admin: confirmations and reminders go out by text, new bookings drop onto your calendar, and every groom is logged to the pet’s history automatically. The rest of this page walks through exactly what that looks like day to day.
A tour of an ordinary working day — what the dashboard does for you from the morning brief to the last pickup.
Start the morning with an AI brief
Open the dashboard and the AI morning brief has already read your day: who’s coming in, which pets have special care notes (matting, anxiety, senior dogs), where you have schedule gaps worth filling, and anything that needs a heads-up before the first dog walks in.
Day, week, and month views with grooming-specific tools: buffer time between appointments, blocked time and lunch breaks, and multi-pet families booked as one visit. Mobile groomers get service zones and a map view to plan the driving day sensibly.
The moment a client books, they get an SMS confirmation. The day before, GroomBoard texts a reminder automatically — no morning phone marathon. Each appointment moves through clear statuses (booked, confirmed, completed, cancelled) so you always know where the day stands, and clients can opt out of texts anytime.
Click any appointment and the pet’s full record is right there: breed, coat and behavior notes, grooming history, your pricing for that pet, and before/after photos. The AI keeps a structured profile up to date from your appointment notes, so “what did we do last time?” is never a memory test.
Connect your own Stripe account and take a card deposit at booking. If someone doesn’t show, mark the appointment and GroomBoard texts them a payment link for your no-show fee. Deposits and fees land directly in your Stripe account — we never sit in the middle of your money.
On the Starter plan (or whenever you flip the toggle), the dashboard collapses to a digital appointment book: today’s list, a quick-add form that creates the client and pet inline, and your booking page. All the power stays one setting away when you’re ready for more.
The Salon plan adds up to five staff accounts with a multi-groomer calendar, so the front desk sees everyone’s day at once. Ask the ⌘K assistant questions in plain English — “when was Bella the doodle last in?” — and get weekly AI insights on revenue, rebooking, and quiet days.
