How many pets can a client book in one transaction?

Up to six pets per booking. Almost every multi-pet household we have seen falls under that ceiling. If you regularly serve households with more than six pets, email hello@groomboard.com and we can adjust.

Can different pets get different services in the same booking?

Yes. Each pet entry on the booking form has its own service dropdown, duration, and price. One booking can contain a full groom, a bath, and a nail trim — three pets, three different services, one block.

What if one pet needs to reschedule but the others can keep their slot?

You can split a single pet out of a multi-pet booking from the appointment detail view. The remaining pets keep their slot and the split pet becomes a standalone rebookable appointment. The client gets a clear SMS explaining the change.

Do clients get one SMS or three for a 3-dog booking?

One. Confirmation, reminder, and follow-up are all sent once per booking and list every pet by name with their service. Clients consistently tell us this alone is worth switching for.

How does payment work for multi-pet bookings?

GroomBoard sums the per-pet service prices and sends a single Stripe pay-link in the post-appointment SMS for the household total. The client pays once. You can also charge per pet if you prefer — toggle in settings.
